Praying For The Nations and for the poor – 19 Dec 2008

Praying For The Nations and for the poor – 19 Dec 2008

Job 25:2 Dominion and awe belong to God; he establishes order in the heights of heaven.

#81 Guam

Father, we pray that You would allow your sons and daughters of Guam to understand and fully know that their identity is in You and not in anything else. Lord as I pray for this nation, I sense a people who have enjoyed the support from the United States, but have also recognized their limitations.

Today, we pray that the Lord’s identity would be established in the lives of every person in Guam. We pray that Your sons and daughters would run after their destinies and not after worldly possessions.

Greater days lay ahead for this nation, not because of human ability, but because the Lord Jesus Christ is in control. Today, we pray that Jesus would be the foundation of Guam. In your name we praise, amen.

Father, we pray right now that You would establish Your name and Your presence in the life of every person who is in poverty. Today, we pray that the Lord’s comfort would strengthen, secure, and protect those in danger, those that are at the brink of death. We pray that Your sons and daughters would rise to their feet to lend a helping hand, that they may find a personal relationship with God as well.

We claim the Lord’s dominion over every inch of land that the poor people thread. We pray for Your shield and hand of healing right now.

Lord, we pray that our prayers would not return to us void. We pray that we would be used today by You to make a difference in the lives of those that are struggling. We do this not because of any other reason but just because we are Your children. Amen.
