Praying For The Nations and for the poor – 1 Jan 2009

Praying For The Nations and for the poor – 1 Jan 2009

Psalm 1:1 Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked or stand in the way of sinners or sit in the seat of mockers.

Palestine and Israel

Father, we thank you for these two nations. Lord, their history dates back to centuries. Lord we pray that the meaning of love your neighbors would become more real in 2009.

As these nations sit on the brink of even more chaos, we pray that Lord Jesus Christ will be the fingerprint. Father, we pray for peace, but we know that there are things that are out of our control. Only the Lord Jesus Christ can redeem and set free. However, we continue to pray for these nations that the Lord’s blessings would become more real in this hour.

Lord, you are so much in store for these two nations, we pray right now that unity and a common destiny would bond these nations together in the years to come. The world will sit in amazement at the power of the Lord. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

Lord Jesus, we pray that 2009 would be a year of marking in every nation. A year of marking not because the rich will get richer, or because of the economic crisis, but because the number poor people, starving people, and suffering people will decrease.

We pray that the Lord’s hand would never leave nor forsake. We pray that the Lord’s love would be ever enduring and never ceasing. Though we may be fools, selfish, unjust, and critical – you still use the weakest to humble the strong.

Father, in this very hour, in this very minute, we pray that the Lord Jesus Christ would stand firm in the gap that separates man from You. Lord Jesus we pray that the poor would find a deep and powerful relationship with You. May they walk and talk with you. May they stand before the world, and humble us. In Jesus mighty name we pray, amen.
