Words of Encouragement for Every New Day ~ 14 Dec 2008

There is power in sacrifice As we embark on a new series focused purely on sacrifice, I believe that God is going to change our perspective to align with His. The definer of sacrifice is our Lord Jesus Christ. Because of His sacrifice we have gained eternal life, our sins have been forgiven, and we are His vessels for spreading the love of God to all nations. There is power in sacrifice. Sometimes my will is so strong that I want things done MY WAY. However, when I reflect on my actions, I realize that if I had chosen to sacrifice my way, it would have brought peace, joy, and blessing. I know that this series is going to offend some of us, but I hope that we can recognize that God is speaking directly to us. I hope that we never think that we have sacrificed enough. Let us have a self-check right now. Ask God what else can I do for others?
