Praying For The Nations and for the poor – 10 Dec 2008

#72 Gabon Father, thank you for this nation and its people. Thank you Lord that you have a great plan for this nation. A plan that is worth fighting for and a plan worth sacrificing for. In our lifetime, we pray right now that we will be able to see this nation live out and fulfill its purpose. You have blessed this nation with an abundance of natural resources. Father, we pray that these resources will be used to bless, to provide, to comfort, to shelter, and to protect. We pray that what You have given to them will not be used for selfish reasons. In the name of Jesus we pray that the continent of Africa will become a powerful force in the future, because they worship and bow their knees to the Lord Jesus Christ. In your mercy and in your grace we pray today that You will bring comfort to those that are suffering. Help us recognize that when we fail to take action, when we fail to provide for your children that are hurting, we are hurting You O Lord. In your mercy forgive us father. In your power and in your grace, we pray that You would wake us up. Help us Father, to get off our bottoms and do something for the poor, for the needy, and those that are critically ill. The world is an unfair world. However, we pray that we would learn how to bless without ever expecting anything back in return. Father, You are our provider and You are all we need. Grant us favor in everything we do so that we can make an impact for Your people. In Jesus name we pray, amen.
