Walking on water Doing things halfway. Are we halfway finishers? Halfway finishers give up when the going gets tough. They are often characterized as men/women who do not have focus, direction, and discipline. Today, let us not be halfway finishers, but men and women who will walk on water and be with our Lord Jesus Christ. The life of Peter is a very powerful testimony. He was a simple man, but loved Jesus dearly. He had the faith to walk on water towards Jesus but when the storms cam he got scared and sank. He knew that Jesus was the Son of God, yet he denied Jesus three times. Despite all his flaws and failures, Peter finished the race strong! When Jesus was resurrected, Peter rose to another level. I believe that Peter didn’t wallow in his failures; instead he used them as stepping stones. It is because of Peter that the Gospel was spread to many nations. May the testimony of Peter, give us inspiration to not be halfway finishers. 2 Timothy 4:7 I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. © 2008 Shaun Lee. www.everynation.org.sg archive: www.shauntzen.blogspot.com |
