The Fear of the Lord Where do you place your trust? Realize that no matter how hard we try on our own to succeed we will always fail. Nothing in life can satisfy OUR soul other than the Lord Jesus Christ. How many failed relationships do we need to get into to understand this? How many unhappy jobs do we need to jump into to realize this? How much money do we need to lose to figure out, only God can satisfy? In my opinion the saddest thing is that, people look up to famous, rich, and powerful men and women to model their lives after. They completely ignore modeling their life after Jesus. So many famous athletes, movie stars, and politicians have completely fallen apart. They cheat, gamble their life away, abuse women, and even kill themselves, why? Because, NOTHING CAN SATISFY OUR SOUL OTHER THAN THE LORD JEUS CHRIST. The fear of the Lord. If we truly fear the Lord, we would be able to recognize that only God satisfies our deepest needs, wants, and even our emptiness. Today, if you feel depressed, lonely, and lost. Simply ask God to fill our souls. Only He can satisfy.
