Word of Encouragement for Every New Day ~ 18 Apr 2008

The importance of building the right self image. The fundamental purpose of this series is to remind us all, that our self image is not made by man but made in Christ. If there is any better gage of when you are tired, or when you need to eat, or when you are over eating, it is our internal bio-system. Isn’t it amazing, without thinking or trying, our internal body will tell us all these things. Today’s word of encouragement is this. Just as our internal bodies can send messages to our brain that we are eating too much, we are sick, we are tired. Then let us develop our internal sin detector. If there is anything as vital to our self image, it is the awareness of our sins and developing boundaries so that we do not continue walking in sin. Let us pray that God would give us all affective internal sin detectors. Let us pray for humility, so that we can break our stubborn attitude. Finally, if we are made in Christ, then let us start acting like a person made in Christ.
