Praying For Portugal and for the poor – 14 Mar 2009 1 Samuel 2:8 He raises the poor from the dust and lifts the needy from the ash heap; He seats them with princes and has them inherit a throne of honor. For the foundations of the earth are the Lord’s; upon them He has set the world.

Father, we thank you for the nation of Portugal. Lord, we pray right now that You would use this nation and its people to spread the gospel. Lord, we pray that Portugal would be a lighthouse. We pray that Your children would be used to light the path of those that are lost. We pray that this nation would be used to bless. We pray that Your children would be firmly planted and rooted in the Word of God. Lord we pray that this nation would not fight and compete against worldly standards. You have set this nation apart, and we pray that Europe will be transformed because of this nation. In Jesus name we pray, amen. © 2009 Lee Shaun Tzen

Father, we pray that You would instill in us all hearts that care for the poor and needy. Help us all to be faithful and diligent in our prayers and actions towards them. Father, it is what we do in secret that You are blessed with the most. We pray against arrogance and pride. We pray that we would be used as your shepherds that will guide the poor and needy to the Lord. In the name of Jesus we pray that You would bless those that have hearts and callings to live in difficult nations where poverty, violence, and corruption continues. Lord, bless the hands and lives of those that can influence and change a whole generation. In Jesus name we pray, amen.
