Let God define love in your life – There is love in letting go As we continue to pursue love defined by God, I know that God is going to birth fullness of life in all of us. Many of us may have tried to define love in our own way. Or we may have been corrupted by the world’s definition of love. Today, I hope that we will be able to understand that there is love in letting go. If we claim that we love God and He is the definer of love, then we must be able to easily let go of everything in life that hinders us from having a strong relationship with God. Just as Abraham sacrificed Isaac, it was easy for Abraham to let go what he loved so dearly. Imagine after waiting so long to have a child, and God asks you to give up that one thing. There is love in letting go. However, Abraham had to learn things the hard way. Abraham and Sarah wanted to have a child so badly that they took things into their own hands. God has given us the Bible and countless stories for us to remember so that we too can learn from their mistakes. What are our Isaacs in life that we love dearly? What are some things in your life that would hinder you from having a strong relationship with God? When I examine my life, it is evident to me that sometimes I desire what God has for my future more than God Himself. By being able to recognise this, now it is time I let go. “God I render my future powerless, and You are all I want.” It is time we let go. How deep do you want to go with God? The choice is yours to make.
