Praying For The Nations and for the poor – 23 Jan 2009

#108 Kyrgyzstan Father, we pray for Kyrgyzstan right now. We thank you for the trials and sufferings this nation and its people have endured. As this nation continues to fight for peace, we pray that the Lord’s righteousness and light would shine through. Psalm 2:1 Why do the nations conspire and the peoples plot in vain? Father, we pray that You would remove and reveal every single person who is causing harm and persecution. Lord, by the blood of Jesus we pray that this nation would stand upon the Lord’s foundation. We pray that the Word of God will be the centre of everything that is based on. Psalm 2:8 Ask of Me, and I will make the nations your inheritance, the ends of the earth your possession. Father, we ask of You right now. We pray that You would bless this nation and provide for your people. We pray that the Lord’s arms would be our refuge always. You O Lord, take pity on us all. However, today we pray that the Lord’s faithfulness and strength would be all that satisfies. We lift up every broken and hurting person right now. Through poverty and through hunger, we pray that they would find strength in You. We pray that the Lord’s righteousness would be our shelter. Father, as we pray, we cry out to You right now that You would provide an avenue and means for us to take action. In the name of Jesus we pray that the selfish would be struck by spiritual lighting right now. May they begin to see and recognize their ability to bless, provide, and care for those who are suffering. Lord Jesus we pray that this would be the hour and time when we would make a difference. In Jesus name we pray, amen. Psalm 72:13 He will take pity on the weak and the needy and save the needy from death.
