Giving: Heart of compassion Having a heart of compassion is priceless. In my opinion, people who freely give their time, energy, and efforts for others carry the blessings from God, and the favor of God. It is amazing to see the angriest person, the most sour person become as pretty as a flower willing to do anything for this person, why? Because, the person who simply showed compassion to them did something that many wouldn't have done. Today, I pray that we would be encouraged to learn how to show compassion to others. However, through wisdom and discernment. In my opinion sometimes compassion can become a weakness. Instead of helping that person to rely on God, they begin to rely on us. Instead of helping that person grow from their mistakes, we falsely carry their burdens for them. SHOWING COMPASSION TO OTHERS DOES NOT MEAN WE BECOME A PUNCHING BAG!! It is time we let God be in control of others emotional needs. It is time we let God teach and humble others pride and arrogance. A heart of compassion is a desire for others that God would lead, God would direct, God would change. Not us!! BUT GOD!!! Ephesians 4:32 Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.
