Taking ownership – Your insecurities The enemy knows our insecurities, but so does our Lord. Today’s word of encouragement is taking ownership of our insecurities. As we pray, let us visualize physically laying our insecurities at the feet of Jesus. In my opinion, I believe that we are all well aware of our insecurities. It is constantly there, trying to pull us down. For me some of my insecurities are a daily battle. Other times, they are not as often, and some I’ve overcome. But out of the blue sometimes insecurities pop up later in life. Taking ownership of our insecurities means, stop making excuses. This is a prayer I often say when I have to fight my insecurities. May it encourage you to find your own prayer, song, or poem that helps you remember to fight the devil. “Father, I know that I am weak, I know that I’m small, I know that I’m flawed, I know that I’m imperfect. But GOD YOU ARE STRONG, YOU ARE GREAT, YOU ARE FLAWLESS, AND YOU ARE PEFECT. LORD YOU REIGN, YOU RULE, YOU LEAD, YOU GUIDE.” HEBREWS 10:39 BUT WE ARE NOT THOSE WHO SHRINK BACK AND ARE DESTROYED, BUT OF THOSE WHO BELIEVE AND ARE SAVED. © Aug 2008 Shaun Lee. www.everynation.org.sg archive: www.shauntzen.blogspot.com |
