| Giving your heart Today’s word of encouragement is about discernment. Are you the type of person that gives your heart away to people easliy? Or are you the type of person that guards and protects your heart? In my opinion there is no good or bad. God has made all of us differently. However, in my opinion, we need to have discernment so that we do not become extreme. For some of us, it is easy for us to connect to people, to open up and share our inner most, and give our heart away in relationships. If this sounds like you, I pray and hope that God will give you discernment to guard and protect your heart. That you wont give your heart away so easily to people, especially entering into a courtship relationship. On the other hand, there are those who are reserved, as though there is this mighty fortress that no one can enter. Again in my opinion, we need to have discernment. The extreme of this makes us unapproachable, a recluse, and if we don’t open up it may be difficult for us to trust people. Today, I hope that we would be able to receive the gift of discernment. God will give us all the discernment when we need to give our hearts and open up to people. And when we need to guard our hearts.
