Word of Encouragement for Every New Day ~ 12 Sept 2008

Giving: Your song to God Today’s word of encouragement is based on this verse. Psalm 44:6-8 says, I do not trust in my bow, my sword DOES NOT BRING ME VICTORY; but YOU give us victory over our enemies, YOU put our adversaries to shame. IN GOD WE MAKE OUR BOAST ALL DAY LONG, AND WE WILL PRAISE YOUR NAME FOREVER. As I write today’s word of encouragement, I sense that many of us have and are still going through weeks of spiritual drought and it is time we break out of this drought. Receive the showers of blessing from God that He wants to give. The question we have to ask ourselves is, how badly do I desire and want God? Let us write a new song to God, our own worship to Him. Singing praises to God, is between you and God. We don’t have to follow others; it is our time with God. The Word of God says, “I do not trust in my bow, my sword does not bring me victory.” When we sing to God we MUST SING WITH DECLARATION, I DO NOT TRUST IN MYSELF BUT YOU O LORD. Is our quiet time is dull? Is our pray time nonexistent? Is the Word is dead, and all that consumes our minds are worries, burdens, and concerns about the future? If this sounds like what we are going through then let us examine our hearts today, because God wants us to draw close to Him and be made fresh again. What is your song? What is our song?
