Word of Encouragement for Every New Day ~ 8 July 2008

My hiding place Psalm 31:19 How great is your goodness, which you have stored up for those who fear you, which you bestow in the sight of men on those who take refuge in you. Proverbs 14:26 He who fears the Lord has a secure fortress, and for his children it will be a refuge. Today’s word of encouragement is a vital reminder to us all. The fear of the Lord is all we need. I wonder if we fully understand the meaning of “the fear of the Lord”. I believe that if we could walk with the fear of the Lord on a daily basis, we would not be afraid of anything the world may through at us. Decisions and life decisions are one of the toughest things we face in life. But if we walked with the fear of the Lord in our lives, we would not quiver at the toughest decisions to be made. Money, a house, a family, financial security, and food. Are we afraid that our Lord will not provide for us? Are we worried that God will not answer our prayers? Where is our refuge? If we say and know that our refuge is in the Lord, then today let us not waver upon our faith.
