Word of Encouragement for Every New Day ~ 2 July 2008

Joy, unfailing joy. Joshua 1:7 Be strong and very courageous. Be careful to obey all the law my servant Moses gave you; do not turn from it to the right or to the left, that you may be successful wherever you go. Today’s word of encouragement is: Joy in the midst of thorns. What is your thorny situation right now? I sense that many of us are faced with difficult, tricky, awkward, and though situations. Whatever the case, let us remember Joshua 1:7. The road ahead for each one of us will be filled with thorns. Thorny situations develops our character, it reminds us who we place our trust in. God? Or ourselves? Today, let us remember the importance in obeying God. Is it possible to walk with joy even through thorny situations?
