Word of Encouragement for Every New Day ~ 6 July 2008

My hiding place How can we find comfort from God if we are constantly walking in sin? How can we find our refuge, if we take for granted our Lord Jesus Christ? Luke 6:46-47 says, Why do you call me, Lord, Lord, and do not do what I say? I will show you what he is like who comes to me and hears my words and puts them into practice. Are we the type of people that only run to God when we are going through issues in life, only when we want to? Does not the Word of God say in Matthew 7:21 Not everyone who says to me, Lord, Lord, will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Let us find our refuge in our Lord, and remain in His safe arms that are everlasting. He can destroy our enemies beyond human abilities, and yet we still take things into our own hands. Deuteronomy 33:27 The eternal God is your refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms; He will thrust out the enemy from before you, And will say, 'Destroy!' Today, I pray that we can build our foundation in the Lord, so that we will remain in His arms especially through the tough seasons of life. Luke 6:48 He is like a man building a house, who dug down deep and laid the foundation on rock.
