Word of Encouragement for Every New Day ~ 21 Mar 2008

Before you die and leave this earth, what lasting impression would you want to leave for the world to know? If we look back into history we would find great people and evil people. Adolf Hitler will go down in history for the terrible things he did towards the Jewish people. Saddam Hussein for the persecution he caused on his own people, Chairman Mao, and King Saul. The common denominator – they all had pride, ego, and will go down in history for their mistakes. Then let us look at this list, Mother Theresa, Nelson Mandela, and Joeseph. The common denominator – they were all humble, and didn’t care about fame and fortune. They will go down in history for the great impact they made on this earth, not for money, not for their own ego, they were all humble, and they all left a lasting legacy. Finally, let us take a look at the greatest man to walk on this planet, Jesus Christ. He didn’t do anything wrong, He gave all that He could to transform peoples lives, and yet WE KILLED HIM. Imagine, we let a criminal, a murderer go free in place of Jesus Christ who committed no crime and was falsely accused. Today, look at your life, and think about everything that makes up YOU. Before you leave this earth and die what lasting impression will you leave for the generations to hear? 1 Chronicles 16:15 He remembers his covenant forever, the word he commanded, for a thousand generations, Psalm 119:49 Remember your word to your servant, for you have given me hope.
