Word of Encouragement for Every New Day ~ 5 Mar 2008

Word of Encouragement for Every New Day ~ 5 Mar 2008

Galatians 5:22-23 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. Which one do you lack?

The fruit of Faithfulness is very real, powerful, and needed on a daily basis. To lack faithfulness, means our relationship with God is nonexistent.

What happens to us when we loose the fruit of faithfulness causing our relationship with God to be nonexistent? We start relying on our own strength, we fall to sin easily, our guard weakens towards things that easily tempt us, and the weeds start to entangle and engulf us pulling us further and further away from our Lord Jesus Christ.

Faithfulness is simply having an authentic relationship with God, it is a close relationship with Him, which encompasses all aspects of fearing God, trusting in Him, holding on to His promises, and surrendering to His will always. Proverbs 3:3 says, “Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart.”

If there is one thing that is for certain is God’s faithfulness towards us. His promises never come back void, and He is the same yesterday, today the same.

Psalm 119:90 Your faithfulness continues through all generations; you established the earth, and it endures.
