Word of Encouragement for Every New Day ~ 9 Mar 2008

Word of Encouragement for Every New Day ~ 9 Mar 2008

What do we set our eyes on? If we were to take a deep deep look inside our hearts, what would we find? Our deepest desires, our greatest wants, what are we really after in life? Jer 22:17 says, “but your eyes and heart are set only on dishonest gain.”

Today’s word of encouragement is about the importance of fearing the Lord. If we are constantly setting our eyes and heart on dishonest gain, we are limiting our full potential to be used by God.

You see, if we are really after the things God has for our lives, we would see the power, the plans, the purposes God has for our lives and how we can be used as His instruments to make an impact for the kingdom of God.

The saddest part in life is falling short of the mark. Just because things do not go our way we give up hope, we get discouraged and lose heart and suddenly we find ourselves set only on dishonest gain because of how things look and the circumstances.

Today, let us all pray that we don’t fall short of all that God has planned for each one of us. Through the challenging seasons, through the failures, mistakes, and trials, let us not give up the race as so many do.
