Word of Encouragement for Every New Day ~ 2 Mar 2008

Word of Encouragement for Every New Day ~ 2 Mar 2008

Galatians 5:22-23 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. Which one do you lack?

If we were to ask people what patience means to them, we could probably get many different answers, but let us set aside our own individual opinion, perspective, and let God define patience.

The best example of the meaning of patience is our Lord Jesus Christ. Till today no matter how often we may sin, fall short of our mark, He is patient with each one of us and tolerant as well. Jesus shows patience to us by enduring so much and yet He is always persistent never giving up on us. God never gives up on us, and yet so often we give up on people.

Each fruit of the spirit is vital and important in our day-to-day life. I ask you this question: Are we patient in our ability to wait on God? Are we demanding and impatient with God at the verge of anger towards God?

Waiting on God is patience at its fullest. To let God lead, to surrender all, to be hungry for God, to fall in complete obedience, to wait for His voice, to let God paint the vision, and to hear His voice guide, are we willing to wait or are our needs more important?
