Word of Encouragement for Every New Day ~ 7 Mar 2008 |
|
Thank you so much for reading my daily word of encouragement. At this point I have written this daily word for almost 9 months now. Please do let me know if you would like to continue getting my emails, and if you would like to be taken off the list let me know as well so that I do not cause any flooding of your email account. I pray that this word of encouragement has blessed you, and I pray that our relationship with God will continue to grow always. Thank you again for your time in reading this daily word of encouragement. Blessings, Shaun Galatians 5:22-23 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. Which one do you lack? Self-control, it is one of the hardest fruits of the spirit to develop, grow, and carry out on a daily basis. A self-controlled person is disciplined, has strength of the mind and will, to know how to handle situations that they may face. But most of all, people who have this fruit respond to hard situations with complete dependence on God to lead and direct them. Without self-control we are basically people that are unrestrained, we are not depended on God, and most often we are inward looking, only concerned about MY NEEDS and MY WANTS. To fully abandon our selfish desires and to fully trust in our Lord to guide our steps is a person that carries this fruit of the spirit. So today, I pray that we would evaluate our lives and find out which fruit we lack. © Mar 2008 Shaun Lee archive: www.shauntzen.blogspot.com |
