Isaiah 2:22 Stop trusting in man, who has but a breath in his nostrils. Of what account is he? Stop trusting in man, what a powerful verse. The need to feel secure from people, feeling accepted, and what is worst; we place so much emphasis on our image so that people will see the “right” impression of us. The Word of God says it plainly, simply, and clearly: Stop trusting in man! Sometimes things are not black and white, and the answers are not as clear, and most often things don’t pane out the way we want. No matter what though, we have to ask ourselves: Whom am I going to trust, Man or God? Do we really know what God wants us to do, or do we trust in people to lead us to our destiny? No one is going to hold our hand all the way through life. If we want someone to do this, we’ll never grow up and we’ll never reach our destiny. Today, we have the ability to start on the right footing, let us stop trusting in man, and start trusting in God. © Feb 2008 Shaun Lee archive: www.shauntzen.blogspot.com |
