Word of Encouragement for Every New Day ~ 13 Feb 2008

Taking the time to bless someone everyday. Today’s word of encouragement is a challenge for each and every one of us. If we study the life of Jesus, we will be able to realize one thing about our Lord. He always blessed others, healed others, and spoke words of encouragement over people. Did Jesus face trials, hardship, scorn, ridicule, and persecution? Yes, most definitely He did, yet not once did we hear Him complain. Yet, look at us, all we do is whine and complain: “OH LIFE IS TOO HARD, IT IS TOO COLD, IT IS TOO HOT, I DON’T WANT TO BREAK A SWEAT, I’M NOT GOOD ENOUGH, NO ONE LOVES ME, I’M A FAILURE, I DON’T LIKE SUFFERING, ETC” We have to find the ability in us to draw the focus and attention away from our issues, my worries, my needs, and instead be a blessing to someone who needs it. There are a lot of people who are lost, alone, and have no clue what there purpose is in life. They just live day by day waiting for time to pass bye. How useless? Yes, most definitely. So what are we going to do about it? What are YOU going to do about it? Matthew 5:13 "You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again?
