Word of Encouragement for Every New Day ~ 2 Feb 2008

James 1:2-3 Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. Time and time again we may make mistakes, we may experience trials of many kinds, but we know that the testing of our faith develops perseverance. Today’s word of encouragement is: Don’t give up. Don’t give up believing, don’t give up trying, and don’t give up so easily. Reading James 1:2-3, it baffles me how in the world can I consider it pure joy whenever we face trials. No one wants trials; no one wants to face problems, conflicts, and struggles. But you see, if we are walking with a strong relationship with God, we would be full of joy when trials come. The reason why we should be excited when we are faced with trials is because we know that God is using us, God is testing our faith, and He is raising us to the next level. For some of us, 2008 has been nothing but trials and failure, I hope we wake up and realize that God is testing us, testing our character, testing our faith, He is seeing how we will respond, WHY? Because God wants to use us, He wants to use you for a reason, He wants to bless us, but are we ready to take on more…are we ready? Are we prepared, are our hearts centered and focused on God? © Feb 2008 Shaun Lee
