Word of Encouragement for Every New Day ~ 7 Feb 2008

Jeremiah 29:11-13 For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. There are so many things in life that can derail us from the plans that God has for each of us. Our sins, our lack of time to build a relationship with God, our constant focus on seeking the approval from man and not God, jealousy, people mocking our faith, people mocking our convictions, I hope you will find out what can derail you from fulfilling the plans that God has for you. Today’s word of encouragement is an important word because if we know who defines us, we would run to Him and we would stop sinning. The word of God says it so clearly to us, yet we are blind sometimes, “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” We cannot run away from people having an opinion, judgment, and criticism about us. But will you waver on your convictions? And who defines you, God or man? If we lack faith to believe that God has a plan for us, if we don’t know what to do, and if we enjoy our life of sins more than the love of God, I pray that Jeremiah 29:11-13 will be buried in your heart the next time you don’t believe, and the next time you are tempted to sin. The word of God says, “Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.” Let us seek God with all our heart today, NOT HALFHEARTEDLY. © Feb 2008 Shaun Lee
