Word of Encouragement for Every New Day ~ 4 Feb 2008

Psalm 145:14 The Lord upholds all those who fall and lifts up all who are bowed down. The Lord upholds all those who fall. We are all imperfect and we all make mistakes. Some sins we make are easy for us to rectify. So we take things into our own hands to solve the mistakes. Then we are faced with a slightly bigger sin, so we try on our own at first, but the problems don’t seem to be solved. We cover our tracks, hiding the mistakes, and everything seems to be back to normal on the surface. Then we are faced with an even bigger sin, which causes us to fall. We fell many times in the past, but we were able to pick ourselves up before because they were just minor injuries. But this time we have fallen and our sins NOW AND EVERYTHING ELSE IN THE PAST have done more damage than just minor injuries. THEY HAVE LEFT US BROKEN. Our own hands cannot solve sin. The Lord lifts up all who are bowed down. We may have fallen and have been left broken. Repent today, turn to God and let us focus on our relationship with God. God’s encouragement to us all is that HE LIFTS UP ALL WHO ARE BOWED DOWN. Remember that we only bow our knees, our lives to one, OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST. Let us bow to Him today and repent of our past, repent of our sins, repent of the things that we are hiding. Do not remain fallen and broken. God will lift our heads up and wrap us in His arms of refuge. © Feb 2008 Shaun Lee
