Word of Encouragement for Every New Day ~ 28 Nov 2007 |

“Break-in the seams” I don’t know how many of us love reading books, but sometimes books fall apart because we don’t break-in the seams. So in the end we have a great book with pages falling out. Today’s word of encouragement is “Break-in the seams of our faith.” I hope that this image of breaking in will be a constant reminder that we need to put into practice our love for God. Otherwise it will be useless and like books that have not been broken into, they fall apart. I know that we all don’t want to be the latter, a person who is falling apart. However, many of us are falling apart. Seems like life is full of chaos, confusion, and we are all over the place emotionally. Don’t get upset, don’t get down, and don’t give up! We have with us on a daily basis the MAKER OF ALL BOOKS! He perfects even the ugliest books, the oldest, dirtiest, and unused books that people don’t even want to buy second-hand. Many of us feel like second-hand books, but remember we have the maker of all books, who can mend, and restore even the ugliest books ever. Isaiah 29:15-16 Woe to those who go to great depths to hide their plans from the LORD, who do their work in darkness and think, "Who sees us? Who will know?" 16 You turn things upside down, as if the potter were thought to be like the clay! Shall what is formed say to him who formed it, "He did not make me"? Can the pot say of the potter, "He knows nothing"? © Nov 2007 Shaun Lee |
