Word of Encouragement for Every New Day ~ 22 Nov 2007

There are so many con-artists out there, deceivers trying to cheat people out of money. It is really a daily reminder that in life we must walk with our “Spiritual Alarms” turned on. But you know what, we are all con-artist when we think about it. We deceive people, even people close to us. What is even worst though is that we deceive our own Father in heaven. God cannot be deceived, He can see right through, underneath all the layers, what is hidden in the dark places of our hearts. Despite knowing this, we still continue our old ways, why? I wonder if we have ever stopped to think and question ourselves, why do we deceive God. Why do we continue our bad habits? Right now I wonder what we are all feeling after reading this. I feel sad and excited at the same time! Why? Because, I know that there is none but Jesus! You see despite all our failures, lack of wisdom, sin, and how much we hurt our Father, he pours nothing but His love on us. Leviticus 19:11 " 'Do not steal. " 'Do not lie.
