Word of Encouragement for Every New Day ~ 13 Nov 2007

Isaiah 40:12 Who has measured the waters in the hollow of his hand, or with the breadth of his hand marked off the heavens? Who has held the dust of the earth in a basket, or weighed the mountains on the scales and the hills in a balance? Today’s word of encouragement is to sit back and observe the power of God. As Isaiah so clearly says, who has measured the waters in the hollow of his hand, or with the breath of his hand marked off the heavens? No one but God! Who has held the dust of the earth in a basket, or weighed the mountains on the scales and the hills in a balance? No One but God! Is anything so great, so big, that God cannot do, accomplish, or solve? It amazes me how often we doubt, doubt our own abilities. We doubt even the promises God has given us. The funniest thing is after reading this, many of us will go back to our old ways, and forget how powerful God is. I hope that today’s word of encouragement will be a daily reminder, no matter what we may be facing. Even during times of success and greatness we can still remember the power of God. During times of sorrow, illness, and discouragement we can be reminded of God’s power! Who is in control today? You or God. © Oct 2007 Shaun Lee
