Word of Encouragement for Every New Day ~ 14 Nov 2007

Adaptability is something worth developing. When we are not adaptable, we hate change, stiff, and self-absorbed, we will never be able to be fully used by God. To be honest we all carry a certain amount of these traits, and it is not to be discouraged, but to aware. Everyone wants things done their way, and sometimes our attitude is such that our needs come before others. I know I am guilty of this. That is because time is so precious and sometimes helping people does not fit our schedule, it disrupts our life. But how can we ever be fully used by God when we are not adaptable? There are going to be times of unpredictability, we don’t know what is going to happen tomorrow, and life does not revolve around what you want, what you need. Being able to adapt to the unpredictable, that is the key!! That is how we can be fully used by God. 2 Chronicles 30:8 Do not be stiff-necked, as your fathers were; submit to the LORD. Come to the sanctuary, which he has consecrated forever. Serve the LORD your God, so that his fierce anger will turn away from you.
