Word of Encouragement for Every New Day ~ 4 Nov 2007

Romans 12:1-2 Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God—this is your spiritual act of worship. 2Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will. Today’s word of encouragement is being renewed. Romans 12:1-2, specifies what we are to do to please God. On a constant basis we must ask ourselves, what I am doing right now, is it holy and pleasing to God? At work, how we treat our wives/husbands, children, relationships, etc. Our actions, is it pleasing to God? The renewing of our minds can only come from our relationship with God. If God is real in our lives, if we know His thoughts, if we know His perfect will—then only will we be transformed. It takes effort to build a relationship with anyone, in fact it takes sacrifice. As we face this week ahead, I hope and pray that we would strive to find a true relationship with our Father. I hope that we would be able to put God as our top priority in our lives and everything else comes secondary. © Oct 2007 Shaun Lee
