Word of Encouragement for Every New Day ~ 25 Nov 2007

Thanksgiving, a time to give thanks to family, friends, people who have blessed you, but most of all it is a time to give thanks for all that God has done. I hope that today you will find the time to reflect on your past, and just recall all the moments that you are grateful for. The amazing thing is to see that even through the darkest hours, the loneliest times, and through all the obstacles, God saw us through, we overcame, and we came out stronger. Right now some of us may be facing and going through trails. Emotionally we are hurt and bitter, and asking God, “Why God, why did you make me go through that? Why am I suffering? I thought You gave me clarity over this issue?” If you are going through a trial and a test, and it is hard for you to give thanks to God for what you are experiencing, it is time! IT IS TIME TO LET GO! God has a purpose a reason for allowing us to go through tests, trials, and suffering. Today, let us give glory to God in EVERYTHING! Do we really mean what we say? We sing songs that say to God, “I give my life to you, and all I have is yours.” Do we really mean what we say? Let us give thanks to God for everything, for we are not worthy of anything, let what Jesus did for us be a reminder of giving thanks. 1 Chronicles 16:8 Give thanks to the LORD, call on his name; make known among the nations what he has done. © Nov 2007 Shaun Lee
