Word of Encouragement for Every New Day ~ 2 Nov 2007

Isn’t it interesting that everyday we are called, tested, and tried? Sometimes the hardest thing is to get out of our comfort zone and step out of our focus on ourselves. I know that I’m guilty of this. It is simply doing the small things in life, to sacrifice, to bless, to help, and to encourage. On a daily basis it is a constant reminder for me to do these things, there are times when I fail at doing these simple things, and you know it isn’t easy. It is human nature to respond selfishly. In fact, to respond selfishly is expected. Today, let us do the unexpected. THE WORLD DOES NOT REVOLVE AROUND ME OR YOU. I hope we can say this to ourselves on a daily basis whenever we are selfish. Imagine when someone is in need, desperation, especially people closest to us, we would jump right up to help. But would we do the same thing for the smallest, simplest issues? The small things in life do matter, and I hope we can change our ways to bless people, to help, assist, without expecting anything back in return. I hope that today’s word of encouragement, would bring excitement to want to change our old ways. Have a blessed and fruitful weekend.
