Word of Encouragement for Every New Day ~ 6 Nov 2007

If you found out that we are at war right now, who would you trust to send to fight in battle? Someone who has practiced daily, uses his weapon well, and knows how to attack because he is strategic? Or the other option is to send someone who has not practiced, hasn’t had training, doesn’t even know how to use his weapon, and has misplaced his armor? We are all in a battle everyday, whether we think about it or not. Some of us know how to use our weapons, and our armor is well worn. On the other hand, some of us have the shiniest armor, bright, pristine, and we put it on display in a glass case to showoff. The battle is on everyday, yet our armor sits in a glass case. I don’t know how many of us feel this way, life seems to be high and low, up and down, some days are good and some days are bad. Life seems to be a rollercoaster ride. If this is you, I ask you this, how often are you using your weapon (Our Bible)? Adversity is a great gift that God has given us, not only is it free, but it is a great test of how much we love God. Without adversity, we’d be robots and love would be worthless. Through adversity, through the daily battles of life, we cannot let go of our weapon, we cannot let go of our love for God. If the Word of God is in us, watch a transformed life before your eyes. The ability to withstand trials, yet stand firm, strong, and steadfast! Psalm 51:10 Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. Psalm 112:6-8 6 Surely he will never be shaken; a righteous man will be remembered forever. 7 He will have no fear of bad news; his heart is steadfast, trusting in the LORD. 8 His heart is secure, he will have no fear; in the end he will look in triumph on his foes. © Oct 2007 Shaun Lee
