Word of Encouragement for Every New Day ~ 1 Aug 2008

Aligning your will to God's: The heart check Today’s word of encouragement is about going through a heart check. Part of aligning our will to God’s is going through the painful process of checking what is inside our hearts. All of us have dreams and ambitions. All of us have a picture of what God wants us to do in life. We know that what God has planned is God, because we are passionate about it. But this is when the heart check becomes real. Firstly, how hungry and patient are we to wait for that day when God uses us? Secondly, the heart check is simple, “do you love God more than yourself, more than gaining fame and recognition?” There are many other forms of heart checks, and I believe that we all know what is the most effective form of heart check is for us that helps us align our will to God’s. Today, let’s go through this process of checking what is really inside our hearts. I hope that we would be able to find out what is really inside there. Psalm 31:24 Be strong and take heart, all you who hope in the Lord.
