Word of Encouragement for Every New Day ~ 15 Mar 2008 |

Ezekiel 17:24 “And all the trees of the field shall know that I , the Lord, have brought down the high tree and exalted the low tree, dried up the green tree and made the dry tree flourish; I, the Lord, have spoken and have done it.” Just a couple of days ago I was taking the train home from work. As usual, the train was packed due to the peak hour. I notice one lady who was really short, but not quite a midget. People were pushing her as they were trying to squeeze into an already tight space. Yet she did not complain. As the train came to a stop she tried to get nearer to where she could hold on to a pole. The people around her were giving this face as though she was despised, weird, and didn’t belong. In fact one lady rudely said to her, “Where do you want to go, the train is all full!” I couldn’t believe how people could be so insensitive, rude, and mean. Then I realize that I too need to learn from my own flaws. Ezekiel 17:24 is a clear word from God, that He can use anyone He wants to reign, rule, and do His will. “I, the Lord, have brought down the high tree and exalted the low tree, dried up the green tree and made the dry tree flourish; I, the Lord, have spoken and have done it.” May today’s word of encouragement bring refreshing to our hearts if we feel weak and small, but I pray as well, that we would be encouraged to not look down and despise people just because of their imperfections. © Mar 2008 Shaun Lee archive: www.shauntzen.blogspot.com |
