Word of Encouragement for Every New Day ~ 27 Jan 2008

Facing the week ahead let today’s word of encouragement be a word of preparation. Many of us attended church, met with God, and most of all were challenged by God to change. But I hope that we would be able to put into practice what God was revealing to us at church. Most often than not, we go to church on Sunday, we attend our weekly life groups, but what do we do during the rest of the week? For some of us, work life consumes us, and for others putting into practice a daily habit of reading the Word of God and praying is almost nonexistent. The power of change can only take place with ACTION. Today’s word is preparing for action. God has destined each one to fulfill His plans. It is a matter of us finding out what that purpose and plan is and putting it into practice. Preparing for action is getting serious, it is tuning our minds and souls to hearing God clearly, and it is completely removing our old ways (bad habits, sin, and our worldly desires). Jeremiah 26:13 Now reform your ways and your actions and obey the LORD your God. Then the LORD will relent and not bring the disaster he has pronounced against you. James 2:17 In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead. © Jan 2008 Shaun Lee
