Word of Encouragement for Every New Day ~ 17 Jan 2008

Psalm 53: 2 God looks down from heaven on the sons of men to see if there are any who understand, any who seek God. Is it possible to fully understand God and His plans for the future? Today’s word is a wake up call and a need, to build a strong prayerful lifestyle. It is more than just praying for your needs and praying for people that are close to you. There are so many things that go hidden, and the enemy is there always wanting to derail us. Having a strong prayer life is hearing God, it is seeking God, and without fail He will reveal to us what we need to pray for. Just looking at Iraq, what is happening in the Middle East, or Pakistan, we have got to pray beyond “our” world, but start hearing God’s plans, warnings, and for direction. Psalm 53:2 says, that God is looking down from heaven on the sons of men to see if there are ANY WHO UNDERSTAND, ANY WHO SEEK GOD. TODAY! ARE YOU THAT MAN? ARE YOU THAT WOMAN? Father, today we pray for the nation of Iraq. We pray that your purpose and plans be carried out in this Nation. These are your sons and daughters that you love so dearly. Father, we pray that peace be poured upon this nation. There is so much anger, hurt, bitterness, and suffering, we pray that these be removed in the name of Jesus. Restore the hearts of the broken and hurting. Father, shake this nation and awaken the dry and dying bones. © Jan 2008 Shaun Lee
