Word of Encouragement for Every New Day ~ 23 Jan 2008

Psalm 86:12 I will praise you, O Lord my God, with all my heart; I will glorify your name forever. Today’s word of encouragement comes during a time when there are so many uncertainties. Many of us expected 2008 to be a year of great success, individually and even globally. However, the start of 2008 has already been bumpy, rocky, and stormy for some of us. As we are faced with a possibility of an economic slowdown in the US as well as a possibility of a recession, how are you going to respond through all this? How are you going to come out from all this? During this time of uncertainty, of storms, of challenges, Will we be able to bless the name of the Lord, to trust Him at all times? As we ride through the storms of life, I hope that every one of us would be able to praise God with all our hearts, and still be able to glorify His name forever. I hope that we would find some time today to praise God, to glorify His name, and thank Him despite any storm we may be facing right now. Lord, we thank you; we praise Your name and Your name alone. You are our rock, our shield, our refuge. Strengthen us today, give us the strength to stand firm through the storms, help us Lord to hold on to your promises without wavering.
