Word of Encouragement for Every New Day ~ 10 Jan 2008 |
|
Every person whether a child or an adult wants to be loved, appreciated, not taken for granted, and valuable. When someone loves you so much that they are willing to invest their time, wisdom, and knowledge to help you grow, and to help you become the person that God destined you to be, we then start to value correction, and we then become teachable. Today’s word of encouragement is to want, to desire a heart to be teachable. Being teachable is to become a sponge; to absorb all the you can from the word of God, from your discipler/mentor/advisor—someone God has brought into your life that can speak into your life, and people that are willing to invest in your life. In this life, not many people are willing to invest in ones life. Why? Because we are selfish and jealous. To find someone willing to do that, I hope we don’t take that person for granted. Psalm 11:5 says, “The LORD examines the righteous, but the wicked and those who love violence his soul hates.” It says, “THE LORD EXAMINES THE RIGHTEOUS” Our Father, is willing to invest in the lives of those who desire him, to be righteous. And His investment, examines our lives, finding out areas that need to change, need to grow, and need to corrected. “but the wicked and those who love violence his soul hates.” God loves all of us, even the sinner, but He does hate the wicked. Today’s word of encouragement is a wake up call to all of us, that to be fully teachable means, allowing ourselves to be examined by God. © Jan 2008 Shaun Lee |
