Word of Encouragement for Every New Day ~ 12 Aug 2008

What is worth more: Perfection or imperfection? Today’s word of encouragement is about developing a different perspective on imperfection. No one likes to fail, or make mistakes, especially when a lot of hard work has been put into something. We live in a world where everything must be perfect. We strive for perfection. But the moment we are faced with failure, obstacles, suffering, life starts turning upside-down. In my opinion, God allows failure in our lives to test our character, and to see how much we rely on God verses our own strength. Isn’t it evident that God is after our hearts and not on how rich or successful we will be in our future? I hope that today’s word of encouragement has allowed us to recognize that our relationship with God is the most important part of life. Everything else is but imperfection. Proverbs 14:23 All hard work brings a profit, but mere talk leads only to poverty. Ezekiel 33:26 You rely on your sword, you do detestable things, and each of you defiles his neighbor’s wife.
