Word of Encouragement for Every New Day ~ 13 Aug 2008

What is worth more: Showing respect or being respected? Today’s word of encouragement is about asking yourself this question. Are you the type of person that always takes but never gives? Everyone wants to be treated respectfully, but the hardest thing to do is showing others respect. I believe that today, God is going to transform our hearts and most of all our character. In my opinion, one of the hardest things to do is to show forgiveness, show respect, and talk respectfully about our enemies. Imagine being able to do this without expecting anything back in return. Our enemies may talk behind our backs, gossip, backstab, yet we pour love, pray blessings on them, and not play THEIR GAME. Matthew 5:43-45 "You have heard that it was said, 'Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.' But I tell you: Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be sons of your Father in heaven.
