Word of Encouragement for Every New Day ~ 2 Aug 2008

Aligning your will to God's: The peace check Today’s word of encouragement is about finding peace. When we align our will to God’s, sometimes it is one of the most difficult choices we have to make. Difficult because most often we have to give up what we want. If we don’t have peace in our hearts right now with what God is doing, then ultimately we know that our flesh is trying to take control. The peace check is really about worrying. I know that I speak for myself, that I worry a lot. But if we never do a peace check, we would never know that we are worrying. If we have never done a peace check in our hearts, I hope that we would take the time to find peace that can only come from God. Matthew 6:25-27 "Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes? 26Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them.
