Word of Encouragement for Every New Day ~ 17 Aug 2008

What is worth more: Forgiveness or unforgiveness? Forgiveness is one of the toughest things to do, especially when someone has hurt you tremendously. We all have different ways of showing forgiveness. The easiest way to know if one has fully forgiven a person, check your heart and ask God. Words are easy, but what is inside our hearts, now that is what God cares about. Today’s word of encouragement is not about choosing to forgive today so that I can walk in God’s blessings. Instead, today’s word of encouragement is about asking ourselves is it worth it to wait any longer? Years and years of unforgiveness. Months and months of broken relationships. Moving on and forgetting the past is great, but when people are broken, hurting, and left behind, does not that mean something? Should we not care about them? What does Jesus say about that?
