Word of Encouragement for Every New Day ~ 16 Aug 2008

What is worth more: Chasing God or chasing the world? If we were to get down and dirty right now, would you be able to say that you are whole heartedly chasing after God? Today’s word of encouragement is about asking ourselves what is worth more chasing after God or chasing after the world. The sad reality is that many great Godly men and women in the bible, in history, and today, have fallen short of their destiny because they stopped chasing after God. Do we realize the weight of carrying the name of Jesus on our hearts? We preach the Word of God, and yet we rob from the very people we have preached to. God cannot be mocked. God will judge us all righteously, and if anything is unrighteous, let us be fully aware that we will bare the consequences of what we sow. (Galatians 6:7) Let us all pray this right now: Father, I am a sinner, I am flawed, and imperfect, but in You I am made strong. I rely on you daily. Father I pray that I will continue to chase after you. Through the stormy seasons, through the fire, through the good times, seasons of glory and fame…it does not matter. God I remain the same.
