| What is worth more: The inside or the outside? As we embark on this new series of what is worth more, I hope that God will use this series to help us put things into the right perspective. Ask anyone and most people would say, what is inside us is worth more than the outside. But do we really believe that? Do we really mean what we say? No matter how beautiful, how pretty, how handsome a person may be, if their inside is “ugly” it really limits their full potential to be used by God. Esther was beautiful and she used her beauty to save God’s people (Read the book of Esther). Imagine if Esther was just “self-absorbed” about her beauty. In my opinion, God would not have written a whole book on Esther if the only good thing she had in her life was her beauty. Today, I hope that we would focus on working on what is in the inside of us. Sometimes we are too focused on our weight, pimples, our hair, etc. Have we spent enough time working on our character? Our temper? Anger? Jealousy? Hate? 1 Samuel 16:7 But the LORD said to Samuel, "Do not consider his appearance or his height, for I have rejected him. The LORD does not look at the things man looks at.
