Words of Encouragement for Every New Day ~ 21 Apr 2010

One piece at a time-build the next generation God is reminding us how importance it is to build up the next generation. We have been entrusted with our Lord to be overseers and shepherds to the next generation and to those under our care. Let us build our relationship with God and lead by example so that others will not be lead astray. Acts 20:28 Keep watch over yourselves and all the flock of which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers. Be shepherds of the church of God, which He bought with His own blood. Our Father bought the Church with His own blood. I pray we would realise the importance and significance of this. Our faith and relationship with God is not to be taken lightly nor for granted. Acts 20:29 I know that after I leave, savage wolves will come in among you and will not spare the flock. The Lord our God is warning us to keep watch over our faith and all the flock of which the Holy Spirit has made us overseers of. Right now are we doing this? Let us keep true to the Word of God and never stray from it. Let us not distort the Word of God to suit our needs. Let us not take the bits and pieces of the Bible which we like and throw out the rest. Acts 20:30-31 Even from your own number men will arise and distort the truth in order to draw away disciples after them. So be on your guard!
