One piece at a time-don't be stiff necked The Lord our God is reminding us today to stop being stiff necked. A person who does not listen or pay attention to the Lord's instruction. Jeremiah 17:23 Yet they did not listen or pay attention; they were stiff-necked and would not listen or respond to discipline. I pray we would remember what God's chosen people were like when they left Egypt. Despite being slaves, tortured, and even abused-they still complained to God. They rather live as slaves than to be set free and walk with their Father. I pray we would understand the importance of this statement written in bold. It is more than just listening. It is obeying. It is more than obeying. It is remaining surrendered to God everyday of our lives. It is more than seeing. It is more than the blessings. It is more than the rewards. Today, how desperate are we to be intimate with our Lord? Proverbs 29:1 A man who remains stiff-necked after many rebukes will suddenly be destroyed-without remedy.
