One piece at a time-be on guard The Lord our God is reminding and encouraging us to be on guard. Guard against the works of the enemy; guard our relationship with God with all our hearts, and protect everything which our Lord considers important. The works of the enemy are subtle, sly, and silent. We must be on guard. The enemy prowls like a deadly predator waiting to devour anyone who is not on guard. Sin destroys everything which is precious to the Lord. It is time we put an end to our sinful ways. We must guard our relationship with God with all our hearts. Being on guard is a vital piece in building our relationship with Him. Many fail to be on guard and guard what is precious. It is time we work on our relationship with Him. If we are not willing to be on guard against the work of the enemy and if we are not willing to guard our relationship with God, it would be very difficult to know what to protect. We can try protecting what we might think is important, but in our human ability we will fail. In order for us to know what to protect, we must have a relationship with God. Mark 13:33 Be on guard!
